사단법인 노름마치예술단(1993년 창단, 사회적기업)은 한국전통음악의 독창적인 음악어법(성음, 시김새, 호흡)을 통해 우리 시대에 부합하는 전통음악을 추구합니다. 한국 음악의 전통적 틀을 유지하면서 동시대 사람들에게 쉽게 다가갈 수 있는 우리 음악을 지향하며, 『노름마치』만의 다양한 레퍼토리를 신명과 열정의 무대를 통해 관객과 소통하고 호흡하며 감동을 전달합니다. 또한 New Wave Korean Music Group을 슬로건으로 우리 소리의 DNA를 세계에 퍼뜨리며 해외 유수의 페스티벌 및 극장 무대에서 크게 활약하고 있습니다. 세계 곳곳의 무대에서 감동과 신명으로 한국의 소리가 크게 울리는 그 곳에 『노름마치』가 함께 합니다.
Noreum Machi is a highly original musical ensemble oriented by traditional drumming, presenting Korean traditional musical expressions and aesthetics. Since its foundation in 1993, Noreum Machi pursues music that retains the traditional frame and at the same time corresponds to contemporary demands. The group takes its name from the term used by Korean itinerant entertainment groups to indicate the most supreme master; in that context, “noreum machi” refers to the players so skilled that no one could dare follow.
Noreum Machi has been performing in more than 220 cities of 65 countries, receiving a great deal of attention in Korea and around the world. Critics evaluate Noreum Machi as a group of presenting “virtuosic,” “spectacular” performance and audiences are likely to be fascinated by the powerful energy and enthusiasm that Noreum Machi expresses in their performance.
