한국전통음악의 독창적인 음악어법 (장단, 호흡, 시김새)을 통해 우리 시대에 부합하는 전통음악을 추구합니다. 한국 음악의 전통적 틀을 유지하면서 동시대 사람들에게 쉽게 다가갈 수 있는 우리 음악을 지향하며, 『노름마치』 만의 다양한 레퍼토리를 신명과 열정의 무대를 통해 관객과 소통하고 호흡하며 감동을 전달합니다.
또한 New Wave Korean Music Group을 슬로건으로 우리 소리의 DNA를 세계에 퍼뜨리며 해외 유수의 페스티벌 및 극장 무대에서 크게 활약하고 있습니다. 세계 곳곳의 무대에서 감동과 신명으로 한국의 소리가 크게 울리는 그 곳에 ⌜노름마치⌟가 함께 합니다.
The percussion group Noreum Machi is a highly original musical ensemble. Since its foundation in 1993, Noreum Machi has been rediscovering Korean traditional music that reflects our time by communicating with other forms of music, all while staying true to its structure. The group takes its name from the term used by Korean minstrels to indicate a combination of skills and timing attained only by the best players. In competitions, “Noreum Machi” would feature players so skilled that no one could dare follow.
Noreum Machi has received a great deal of attention in Korea and around the world. The group is determined to avoid being bound by the past and to communicate with audiences in the present. Critics and audiences have called Noreum Machi a fascinating and future-oriented ensemble in the way the artists connect with the audience, the obvious pleasure they portray while performing and the profound emotions they share as they move between past and present.
